Red wine is very difficult stain to get out of clothing. The key is to work as quickly as possible.
If you have red wine staining your carpeting or fabrics, follow this step by step process right away.
Shake a thick layer of salt on top of the stain to prevent it from spreading and setting.
For a lighter colored rug, first apply hydrogen peroxide, giving a few minutes to penetrate carpet. Then spray bottle filled with one part water and one part carpet cleaner, mist the stain. Blot with a clean cloth until stain is removed.
